If you’re unsure whether you have mold in your home, our professional and Certified Mold Technicians can conduct a thorough inspection. This process consists of 3 stages and will determine if signs of abnormal fungal ecology exists. Protect your health and have your home tested for mold today.
VISUAL & VERBAL CONSULTATION
We consult with you and discuss if you suspect evidence of moisture intrusion and/or mold in the environment. We then discuss the reason that you suspect mold. Do you have a moist, musty odor in your home or business? Are you having any physical symptoms such as the following?
– Chronic allergies from mild to severe
– Severe respiratory irritation
– Fatigue
– Asthma and trouble breathing
– Severe toxic reactions
– Skin rashes
– Headaches
Collection and Sampling
To detect non-visible mold growth and identify spore types present, laboratory testing of samples is required. This usually takes 24 hours to receive results via our expedited process.
We use 4 methods of mold sampling:
– Outdoor Baseline Airborne Sample
– 3 Or More Indoor Airborne Samples
– Swab / Tape Lift Samples
– Mycotoxin Samples
We also use the following accompanying techniques to help confirm or verify areas of concern that cannot be seen with the naked eye
– Airborne Particulate Counter
– Moisture Meter
– Thermal Imaging Technology
Certified Lab Results and Mold Report
A comprehensive and certified Lab Result and mold report from the inspection will be generated with an easy to read glossary to help you understand the types of mold present
These results will be emailed to you with a pass or fail determination of mold. If your air quality comes back as a fail, your report will show what types of mold are airborne and to what extent
The first step to fixing any problem is determining if there is a problem. A visual inspection may not provide enough information, so you may want to test.
O2 BioLabs offer a bundled Air Sample and Swab Mold Testing.
Air Sample Mold Testing is the most common form of testing for mold in the air. It works by pulling a sample of the indoor air through cassettes which filter out microscopic particles in the air. These samples are collected then sent to a lab for analysis. This typically takes 2 to 3 business days to get the reports back. For a small fee we can process the results more quickly. We also sample air from outside so there’s a comparable test. A report is then sent and lets you know if mold is present in your indoor air.
– Includes 3 air samples. Each additional sample: $95, if required.
Swab testing is taken from the surface where mold is suspected of growing. These tests collect mold samples from visibly present mold. The swabs are then sent to a lab, which may take up to 2 to 3 business days to get results. It may not show the exact concentration of mold in the air since mold doesn’t evenly grow and changes over time, but it can determine what type of mold it is.
– Includes 3 swab samples. Each additional sample: $95, if required.
